Aircraft Programs

The Royal Norwegian Air Force's top priority is the absorption of 52 F-35s into service as the long-term replacement for its F-16 fleet (fully retired by January 2022).

Regarding air transport, Norway purchased C-130J-30 aircraft to replace its retired C-130Hs. The first delivery of a new C-130J-30 occurred on November 25, 2008; a fourth platform was delivered on May 11, 2010.
