OVERVIEW
The Swiss air force (Schweizer Luftwaffe) is organized together with the military under a joint command structure. It was formerly subordinate to the Swiss army. The air force includes air defense units, military airfield guard units, combat aircraft and helicopters. The air defense forces have one anti-aircraft artillery training unit.
