Aircraft Programs

Combat Aircraft. Faced with a powerful strategic rival just 110 nautical miles across the sea, Taiwan has maintained a sizable combat aircraft fleet totaling over 300 fighters. Comprising the backbone of this force are 140 F-16V Block 70 fighters (another 66 new-build units await delivery through 2026) and 126 F-CK-1 Ching-kuo Indigenous Defense Fighters (IDFs). Rounding out the fighter fleet are 55 Dassault Mirage 2000s.
