Combat Aircraft. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) currently operates three jet fighter types: the Lockheed Martin F-35A, the Mitsubishi-built F-2, and the F-15J Eagle, the latter of which was license-produced in Japan by Mitsubishi.
