This is a high-capacity chaff dispenser that was originally designed for subsonic aircraft. Dispensing occurs automatically in response to other sensors; is can also be used manually.

Chaff can be laid either in a corridor-clearance pattern or to break the lock-on of an individual radar or several radars.

The service status of this system has not been available for many years. It was last reported in service by Jane's Avionics(Oct. 13, 2004) in a training capacity.
