The AN/ALT-16A is a solid-state amplifier used to produce jamming signals. It is used with the AN/ALQ-122 on the B-52H to counter enemy early warning and acquisition radar signals.

The AN/ALT-16A is used to linearly amplify the ALQ-122 generated jamming signals.

status

In service; the system is no longer in production.

Very little open-source information about this system is available. This has been the case for some time.
