The MAR-1 is a medium-range anti-radiation missile developed by Brazil for its AMX and F-5 fighters. It is designed for air-to-surface attacks on ground- or sea-based radar systems, from high-powered fixed emitters such as early warning or surveillance radars to low-power mobile radars of battlefield air defense systems. The existence of the missile was kept secret for many years.
