The White House has indicated it is ready to back NATO membership for Montenegro if it continues to pursue reforms and increases popular domestic support for joining the alliance, reports Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The U.S. is prepared to support an invitation at NATO's foreign ministers meeting in December, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden told Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic during a telephone call on Monday.
