The Indian navy is about to hold a bilateral naval exercise with Japan in the waters off Tokyo, reports the Press Trust of India.
Four Indian warships are in Tokyo this week on a four-day visit to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, said Indian navy officials.
The Indian ships will start a two day exercise with the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force on Saturday.
