A new Pentagon report says the war's progress in Afghanistan has been "uneven" across the country, Bloomberg News reports.
Clashes are up fourfold since 2007, says the report, asreported by the BBC.
The modest results can be attributed to poor efforts on the Pakistani side of the border, said the twice-annual report to Congress.
