A suicide bomber has killed a member of the High Peace Council in eastern Afghanistan, Agence France-Presse reports.
Maulavi Mohammad Hashem Munib, the head of the council in Kunar province, was killed in the explosion along with his son, said the provincial police chief.
They were heading home after Friday prayers at the time of the attack, said security officials.
