A suicide bomber has attacked a church in a suburb of Bauchi, the capital of the northern Nigerian Bauchi state, killing at least nine people and injuring 53 others, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
The state police commissioner said a roadblock set up by security forces prevented the bomber from reaching his target, during the attack on Sunday. He refused to stop at the roadblock and hit a security gate, causing the bomb to detonate.
