Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko says that nearly 7,000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed during the conflict with Russian-backed separatists in the eastern part of the country, reports Bloomberg News.
Another 1,657 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 1,000 civilians are missing, Poroshenko told the Parliament on Friday.
The president emphasized that Ukraine fully respects the Minsk cease-fire accord.
