A Tunisian police officer has been injured after two men detonated suicide belts during a raid in the central Sidi Bouzid province, reports the state-run Tunis Afrique Presse.
On Thursday, police raided the suspected location of the men in the town of Jilma, 155 miles (250 km) south of Tunis, reported Reuters.
Police encircled the site. Following an exchange of gunfire, the suspects set off explosives strapped to their bodies.
