Philippine President To Discuss Regional Security In White House Visit

Philippine President Benigno Aquino is in Washington for talks with President Barack Obama, reports the Voice of America News.
Aquino's first meeting at the White House is expected to focus on regional security and the role of the Philippines in the new U.S. strategic focus on the Pacific.
Officials said Aquino will emphasize the strengthening Philippine naval and air defenses and continued U.S. assistance against Islamist militants.
