Three Russian navy ships from the Pacific Fleet have left Vladivostok to take part in the RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific) international naval exercise, Interfax-AVN reports.
The Admiral Panteleyev destroyer, the Boris Butoma tanker and the Fotiy Krylov rescue tug left the port for the Hawaiian Islands on Wednesday, said officials.
This will be the first time that Russian ships participate in the exercises, said a fleet spokesman.
