Ousted President Arrives In Senegal

The deposed president of Mali has fled to Senegal after being overthrown in a coup last month, reports the BBC.

Amadou Toumani Toure revealed earlier this week that he had been hiding in the Senegalese embassy after being overthrown.

Toure arrived in Senegal on Friday with his family of 15, a Senegalese official said.

Late Thursday night, the military junta released 22 of the president's political allies who had been in custody.
