The head of the African Union Peace Support Operations Division (PSOD) says A.U. member states need to do a better job when providing funding for the African Standby Force, reports the Herald (Harare, Zimbabwe).
More than 70 percent of the African Union's budget is provided by donors. They often place conditions on the use of the funds, said Sivuyile Bam on Wednesday during a meeting of the A.U. defense ministers in Harare, the Zimbabwean capital.
