The Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense is conducting a special naval exercise this week involving its newest missile corvette, reports the Taipei Times.
The training drills, which began Wednesday, involve up to 13 warships and the new corvette Tuo Jiang, according to defense officials.
The two days of drills southeast of Taiwan are focused on patrol maneuvers and to test the maneuverability and capability of the Tuo Jiang, officials said.
