The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have launched airstrikes against Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip after a pair of unsuccessful attacks from the enclave, reports Haaretz (Israel).
Fighter jets and a helicopter gunship struck Hamas military posts after Israeli Iron Dome air defense systems intercepted a Hamas-launched rocket, the IDF said in a tweet on Jan. 6.
