The Dept. of Defense expects to make a significant increase in its armed and long-range surveillance unmanned aircraft over the next decade, reports Bloomberg News.
A Pentagon report on its aviation plans says the inventory of such aircraft should expand from about 445 in fiscal 2013 to 645 in fiscal 2022, including variants of the RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator.
