Lockheed Martin To Train Navy Pilots On F-35 Simulator

Navy pilots in line to fly the F-35C Joint Strike Fighter will be sent to Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., in early 2011 to train on a simulator, the Navy Times reports.
The Navy is not scheduled to receive its first F-35C until 2012.
The first group of pilots to fly the new aircraft will be selected from F/A-18 pilots with over 1,000 flying hours, said the director of F-35 training for Lockheed Martin, the aircraft's manufacturer.
