The Sri Lankan and Indian navies have just wrapped up three days of training off the west coast of Sri Lanka, reports the Ceylon Daily News.
The Cadex 09 drills involved 95 Sri Lankan and 141 Indian personnel and two ships from each navy.
The Sri Lankan vessels Sayura and Samudra took part, as did the Indian landing ship tank Shardul and coast guard vessel Varuna.
The exercise was aimed at strengthening relations between the two navies, Sri Lankan officials said.
