Law professor and independent presidential candidate Kais Saied has won Tunisia’s presidential election, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar). In the runoff vote on Oct. 14, Saied won an overwhelming majority with a total of 2.7 million total votes, 72.21 percent of the vote, against his opponent Nabil Karoui, who received 1 million votes.
