Somali pirates attacked a fishing boat off the coast of East Africa on Thursday, reports Independent Online (South Africa).
Two fast boats attacked the Thai-flagged fishing vessel about 200 nautical miles north of the Seychelles in the early hours of the morning, said a spokesman with the European Union naval mission.
An E.U. surveillance aircraft is tracking the vessel as it heads towards the Somali coast, apparently in the hands of the pirates, the spokesman said.
