Gen. Philip Breedlove has replaced Gen. Howie Chandler as the vice chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force, reports the Air Force Times.
Chandler, who retired after 37 years of service, assumed the service's second-highest position in August 2009.
Breedlove, a former fighter pilot, most recently served as the deputy chief of staff for operations, plans and requirements.
