Home Secretary G.K. Pillai says the government wants to reduce the number of Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir over the next year, reports the Indo-Asian News Service.
In addition to proposed personnel cuts of 25 percent, travel restrictions for Pakistani Kashmiris could be eased as part of confidence-building measures, Pillai said on Friday.
