The end of conscription has led to serious recruitment problems in the Swedish military, reports the Local (Stockholm).
Mandatory service came to an end in Sweden on July 1, 2010.
The military fell short of its goal last year by nearly 3,000 recruits, officials said. The shortfall may force career soldiers to deploy more frequently.
In an attempt to rectify the situation, the military signed an accord last week with Sweden's National Employment Agency to help meet its goal...
