Santiago-based Vapor Industrial has unveiled a small, rescue submarine that is being built for Chile.
The sub was displayed on Tuesday during a visit by Defense Minister Andres Allamand, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The Crocodile-class submarine is 108 feet (33 m) long, with a diameter of 11.5 feet (3.5 m) and a submerged displacement of 250 tons.
The sub costs about US$5 million, according to a Defense Ministry release.
