Defense Ministry Plans For Apaches To Be Sent To Island In Disputed Area

The South Korean government has decided to deploy Apache helicopter gunships to a northern border island to guard against attacks by North Korea, Agence France-Presse reports.

The military is building helicopter hangars on Baengnyeong island near a disputed maritime border in the Yellow Sea, according to the Defense Ministry.
