Communist Rebels Ambush Troops

Suspected communist rebels have killed at least 10 soldiers and two civilians in an ambush in the Ifugao province in the northern Philippines, reports the Manila Bulletin.

Agence France-Presse had somewhat different numbers, saying 11 soldiers and one civilian were killed in Wednesday's attack.
