A suicide bomber in a car has tried to blow up the governor of Iraq's desert province of Anbar, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Four security personnel were killed and three civilians wounded in the explosion in the city of Ramadi, officials said.
The attacker reportedly drove his explosive-laden vehicle into the governor's convoy. Gov. Qassim Mohammed Abed escaped unhurt, said security officials.
