Airstrike Kills Senior Haqqani Leader In Paktia Province

A senior commander in Afghanistan's Haqqani network linked to Tuesday's attack on Kabul's Inter-Continental Hotel has been killed in an airstrike, reports the Voice of America News.
Ismail Jan and several Haqqani fighters were killed Wednesday in Paktia province near the Pakistani border, according to a NATO statement released on Thursday.
