A strike by U.S. unmanned aircraft in the Shawal Valley in northwestern Pakistan has killed at least five suspected militants, according to Pakistanis cited by Reuters.
The attack was made on Monday in the Zwy-Naray region of North Waziristan. It came after Pakistani security forces moved into the area and a strike on Saturday, according to Pakistani intelligence sources.
The region has become a home for Taliban bases and is a key smuggling route into Afghanistan.
