The U.S. Air Force has accepted delivery of its first KC-46 Pegasus aerial tanker, about two years behind schedule, reports Bloomberg News.
The service formally received the initial aircraft on Jan. 10, reported Defense News.
The first eight of 179 planned KC-46s are slated to be handed over through February, said a service statement on Thursday.
The Air Force has decided to accept the tankers despite ongoing issues with the remote vision system, said an Air Force spokeswoman.
