Security forces in northern Nigeria say they have killed nearly 95 bandits and kidnappers, arrested 61 others and recovered over US$1 million in materials over the last two weeks, reports This Day (Lagos).
Nigerian troops claim to have recovered 660,430 gallons (2.5 million liters) of crude oil; 35,353 gallons (133,824 liters) of diesel, 1,849 gallons (7,000 liters) of kerosene; captured one unspecified vessel and 16 tankers; and destroyed 23 illegal oil refineries.
