New Research Center To Develop Reusable Uncrewed Space Vehicles

A new research center has been opened at Seoul National University to develop reusable uncrewed space vehicles, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

On Tuesday, the South Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced that the Reusable Unmanned Space Vehicle Research Center had begun work to research technologies for reusable uncrewed space vehicles.

The DAPA said it planned to invest US$27 million in the center through 2028.

The center will be made up of 240 researchers from 14 universities and four companies, including Hanwha and the state-run Korea Aerospace Research Institute.
