Navy Announces Plans For Uncrewed Vehicle Command

The South Korean navy says it plans to create a new uncrewed vehicle command in the 2040s, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

The command will consist of three units, one each for uncrewed surface ships, underwater vehicles and aircraft.

The service also plans to increase its uncrewed assets to up to 45 percent of its fleet by 2040, from 1 and 9 percent in 2020.
