Iranian personnel deployed to the Crimean Peninsula as military advisors are helping operate Iranian drones, reports the U.S. Department of Defense.
Despite Ukrainian and U.S. evidence, Moscow and Tehran have both denied the sale of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia for use in Ukraine.
DOD spokesman Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder described the Iranian drones as “psychological weapons,” that, “[do not] change the fact that Russian forces on the ground continue to lose territory or at best hold ground.”
