Imran Khan Shot, Injured At Rally

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot and injured during a rally against the government in Wazirabad in Punjab province, reports NDTV (New Delhi, India).

Khan was shot from below while addressing his supporters from the top of a container truck.

He was seen with his right leg bandaged, waving to his supporters as he was loaded into an SUV to go to the hospital. Later reports indicated that he was “out of danger.”

The gunman was quickly captured and told police that he acted alone, motivated only by “how Imran Khan has been misleading the people.”

Several bystanders were injured in the attack. A Pakistani lawmaker said that one of Khan’s supporters was killed.
