Huntington Ingalls Industries has announced the delivery of another destroyer to the U.S. Navy.

The Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG-123), the last Arleigh Burke Flight II guided-missile destroyer built by the yard, was formally handed over to the Navy on Nov. 30.

The ship honors Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee, a Navy nurse and the first woman to receive the Navy Cross for her heroic actions during World War I.

Huntington Ingalls is continuing to build Arleigh Burke Flight III destroyers, with four such ships currently in production, the company said.
