Defense Cooperation Pact Inked With Cuba

Cuba and Vietnam have just signed a new agreement to strengthen defense ties, reports the Vietnam News Agency.

A Cuban delegation led by Divisional Gen. Víctor Rojo Ramos signed a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation on Monday with Vietnamese Gen. Luong Cuong during a visit to Hanoi.

Both countries agree “that defense cooperation is one of the pillars and role models in the Vietnam-Cuba relations”.

The sides previously signed a defense cooperation development agreement in 2011 and adefense cooperation plan for 2020-2022.

Cuong called for the countries to quickly sign a cooperation agreement for 2023-2025.
