Medical sources in Sudan’s southeast reported 151 dead, 86 injured, including women and children, over the last week, reports Reuters.
The United Nations said fighting began October 13, with Hausa and Hamaj tribes, among others, fighting in the Wad Almahi area. Analysts say that land and citizenship disputes are motivating the fighters.
An outbreak of violence earlier this week in West Kordofan killed 19, injured 34, and caused 36,500 to flee the violence.
