Air Force Provides B-21 Raider Update

The U.S. Air Force says it will unveil its new stealth bomber in December.

The B-21 Raider will replace service's B-1 and B-2 aircraft as its long-range, highly survivable, penetrating strike stealth bomber, the service said in a release last week.

The aircraft is designed to meet the latest threats and employ an open systems architecture to enable rapid upgrades.

The Raider is scheduled to be unveiled on Dec. 2 during a ceremony at Northrop Grumman’s production facility in Palmdale, Calif.

The B-21 will continue to undergo testing following the ceremony.
