6 Killed In Militant Attack In South

At least six people have been killed in a militant attack in south-central Burkina Faso, reports the North Africa Post.

On Sunday, gunmen attacked a bowling club in the town of Bittou in the central Boulgou province, where a large number of civilians had gathered.

Four teachers at the local high school, including the head teacher, were among the dead, according to a regional federation of education unions cited by Agence France-Presse.

After opening fire, security forces pursued the attackers into the nearby forest of Nouhou, according to security authorities.
