Three astronauts, including China’s first woman astronaut, have just returned from a six-month mission, reports the BBC News.
The astronauts took off on June 5 to oversee the arrival of the second and third modules for the Tiangong space station, which was completed in November.
They also performed three space walks to check and test the new modules.
The astronauts returned home aboard a Shenzhou-14 spacecraft on Sunday, landing in China’s Inner Mongolia region.
A new crew arrived at the space station on Wednesday for a six-month mission.
This is the 11th and final mission required to assemble to station, which is set to be used for near-zero gravity experiments over the next decade.
